When something traumatic happens to us physically, emotionally, or spiritually, it needs a place to go. Because our culture values positive emotions and most of our parents don’t know how to deal with problems or conflicts, we are taught to “grin and bear it” or pretend things don’t happen. This leads to a “build up” of traumatic experiences.
For women, this build up often ends up taking hold in the pelvic bowl. Every time you are reminded of the event, you get triggered and you likely stuff even more.
It goes something like this:
A painful situation caused emotional distress>
Rather than dealing with the emotions at the time, you pushed them deep inside your pelvic bowl>
Now they reoccur whenever you’re triggered.
This could also be because you might not have been ready to deal with your emotions, so you pushed them inside and pretended nothing was wrong.
This strategy might work in the short term, but eventually, you’ll need to move these emotions.
This is where pelvic bowl healing work comes in. Through this work, we access what we’ve been holding, and we move it out for good.
The best news is that you don’t have to re-live the trauma or even know exactly what you’re moving for this work to be effective.
One of my clients said this, “Any traumas, any memories, any residue of what happened gets healed through this work”.
Of course, it would be amazing if we all just dealt with negative experiences when they happen, but unfortunately, that’s not always possible.
So, we do it through intentional clearing in the pelvic bowl.
As traumas and negative experiences are released, we make room for positive feelings, true abundance, and creative energy.
What might you be holding in your bowl that is holding you back? Are you ready to move it out for good?
